This site began as a promotional tool for my first and only novel, Padma and the Elephant Sutra. There are various artworks representing characters from the book, samples of writing, morsels of poetry, thoughts, facts, and ideas which are present in the pages and fleshed out here.
As time progresses, it will become much more. Following my sojourn into the new world (to me) of book promotion and marketing, it seems utterly saturated. The elephants have decided to settle down and enjoy just foraging. Together we will read a few books and write some reviews. Have some thoughts and chill out. They would also like me to start writing another book.
My name is Wayne Snowden. I am a 55 year old man of no particular importance other than to my wife and son and lovely Claire. I have spent a few years in India and roundabouts, and most of my life trying to make sense, and a living, out of the UK. I have mostly worked in charities for disadvantaged and marginalised men. I now work in the NHS. I am a sucker for the underdog and hope the world will one day become a kinder place.
