Today I joined my wife on her stall at the quarterly local Flea Market. A jumble of independent stalls selling all manner of nik-naks and curios. My wife was selling her own recent handiwork, Japanese knot bags. Hand-dyed upcycled, reversible, high-quality linen bags, I am informed. Available HERE
Anyway, this is my site, not hers. Where was I?
Today I joined my wife in my ongoing efforts to promote my book. I thought perhaps a free raffle, a kind of local Goodreads Giveaway of three paperbacks, would create some buzz and drive some interested readers to my blog.
I thought if they did not win a copy of my paperback, (winning numbers announced on my blog) then they would also see that my ebook is FREE everywhere except Amazon and perhaps download it.
Great plan. It was cold, it rained, but people turned out.
Now here’s the rub. Only three people wanted a ticket! Plenty of people stopped and read the blurb, but few took the bait. I shall have to analyse why, (part 2), but for now, I can say Numbers 2, 3, and 4, you have won a signed copy of my book. Congratulations! Please contact me so I can arrange to post your prize.
